Stay The Course

2 minute read

You know the feeling. Your alarm goes off. Your calendar is already full. There’s something at work, something at home, something you promised someone else, and somewhere in the middle of all of it, you also promised yourself you would show up for you today. We often frame something like this as a "fitness story," whereas it really illustrates a "life story," our real lives played out again and again. Our Stay the Course campaign was made to speak to this.

Directed by Daniel Choi (danielgchoi.com (opens in a new window)), Stay the Course follows three women — real, layered, grounded women — who faced something that made continuing feel impossible. A life-changing injury, a mental wall, a season of their life that asked them to give everything to everyone else, until they almost forgot to give anything to themselves. Their stories aren’t about transformation in the way we usually talk about it, the typically before-and-after, but the decision to show up and keep going, even when life wasn’t perfect.

We are all often navigating so much. From an overwhelming mental load to the pressure to perform consistently and to make it look easy, it is exhausting. I hope this film resonates with you and you understand that staying the course and showing up is really "half the battle." Watch the film and share it with someone who also needs to hear the message.
